If you truly love Nature,
you will find beauty everywhere.
~Vincent Van Gogh
Today we all visited our community Learning Center/Historical society located at one of our beautiful Metro-parks reservations. Outside in woods wilderness we had a chance to catch glimpse of fluttering critters, butterflies & bees. Inside the learning center we get to know about Eastern box turtle found in woodlands. This turtle is 104 years old. The embalmed Coyote seen here looking straight into the eyes, it’s said if you encounter them, don’t run keeping your backs towards them, it agitates them more. The Eastern Garter Snake seen here are slender snakes & are usually guests of woodlands, meadows, and gardens & near streams.
Hello Ruchi,
104 years and still going strong, nice capture 🙂 The old guy was the highlight and not to forget it beat the rabbit in the legendary race.

Yeah wetlands can be amazing too, as they have many interesting creatures :-D, I rem while visiting Holden Arboretum here, I was freaked out by 3 snakes, swarming their ways from land to swamps there, just an inch away from me, LOL. Unforgettable experience!

It’s how I feel about my beach… no matter what my mood once my feet are deep in sand listening to the ocean waves crash and feeling the salty air I am reborn — I am happy. 🙂
