WALK WITH ME DAY # 47

We do not see nature with our eyes, but with our
understandings and our hearts.

~William Hazlitt

A beautiful day spent well in the nostalgic past of Squire Rich House Museum, Brecksville, one of our wonderful neighborhoods. We enjoyed the annual corn roast with Lemonade, Root beer 😀 😀 & catching up with friends. The museum has unique history; the saltbox style house erected circa 1835 by Squire Charles B. Rich & his wife Ann Jane personifies the nostalgic memories of their days as early settlers here. The hand hewn beams support this wonderful house, which was built from Black walnut from the acreage, owned by them at cost of $600. 🙂 🙂 The Herb Garden Tour was the best that Kids enjoyed most.

The house has been fully restored & being listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a licensed affiliate of Cleveland Metro parks.

    1. Kokila, here’s something to cherish 🙂
Tell me the tales that to me were so dear,
Long, long ago, long, long ago,
Sing me the songs I delighted to hear,
Long, long ago, long ago……(Thomas H Bayly )
