Walk With Me Day # 83

“Man is the only creature that consumes without producing”
  ~George Orwell, Animal Farm

Visit to any Farm Park/Petting Zoo has been always a wonderful learning experience for my family. Animals as we sees them, know them, understands them are far more clever and understandably communicative. I love going on long nature-walks, beach day out, farm park visit, botanical garden visit, anything that starts and ends with “Nature”, I am ready for that safari ride.

As a parent, I see the need for my kids to develop emotional quotient and empathy, but how to teach them this? Nature, it’s a great teacher, not only for its aesthetic aspects but Nature is indeed helpful for holistic development of our mind and body. It’s like developing sustainable Eco system for our mental health (brain) and our lives flaunting healthy and positive outlook weeding out stress etc.

The Farm Park is a great concoction of agriculture, farming & country lifestyle. We saw newborn lambs, piglets, goats, horses, sheep etc. We all enjoyed activities like- horse grooming, feeding goats, pony rides & petting animals at the Barnyard. We saw Belgian horses also, I have shared snap of Belgian Horses from our winters day trip to the same Farm Park. Belgian Horses are draft horse breed from the Brabant region of modern Belgium, where it is called the Cheval de trait belge. They are usually 66 and 68 inches tall. On average the Belgian Hoses grows to weigh around 900 kilograms/ 2,000 pounds. 😀 😀

It was indeed a great day!

Lets see some of the snaps from our wonderful day trip to one of the Cleveland Farm Parks. Ciao!

    1. Thanks Bikarmjit for your wonderful words. I am glad to hear that this post brings back many Nostalgic memories from your horse-riding days. My family is also crazy about Horses. Kids loved grooming them so much that I was sure Pony would sleep of with so much of pampering.:-D 😀
      Thanks for stopping by!
      Have a great weekend!
