Beaver tail prickly pear is a variety of cactus found mainly in Southwestern parts of USA. It is found mostly in the Mojave Desert, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Colorado Deserts, and northwest Mexico. It ranges through the awesome Grand Canyon and Colorado River region to Southern Utah, and in Western Arizona. We visited Arizona (Grand Canyon), Utah, Colorado (Hoover Dam) & other nearby places in year 2013.

    1. Yes, Nihar, when I saw the word desert, nothing else comes to my mind except my visit to beautiful Grand Canyon. Also, I had been mesmerized to watch desert, rocks, cactus, smell of that air, serpent/unpaved road that we trekked for miles & miles, to reach Grand Canyon…it’s definitely one of its kind experience and unforgettable one.
Also, I like the idea of “itchy feet” to be used as a term for traveler…as I am like that, wish to be on move, most of the time, lost in profound beautiful surroundings. 😀 Take care!

      1. Itcy feet, very interesting description, I like the phrase…desert is what we all have some impression and these impression changes and changes radically when we see something like the Grand Canyon…it is much like seeing vast stretch of ocean and the waves which is like the mirage in the sands, stretched for miles and miles…
Yes, Ruchi, Life is on the move and we see what world is on when we are on the travel…
        You too, take care!!!
        Happy Travelling and Happy Writing.

        1. Thanks Nihar for sharing such a beautiful thought, indeed…when we visit few places, many things changes, sometimes places connect us to people, sometimes they change our fate & sometimes they just wave back at us 🙂 take care

          1. I agree Ruchi, visiting places changes our perspectives, nothing can be more pleasing and more revealing than exploring newer places…some people we connect and yes, they change our life forever…one may call it luck or other may call it destiny, in fact destiny are defined in our destinations…
            Happy Travelling!!!
            You too take care…
